Electrical Problems

I just put a new battery in my bird about 3 months ago. Recently when I go to start my car, it doesn't start and my alarm goes off for about 3 seconds. I noticed the battery is at about 10 volts but nothing runs while the car is off, so how is my battery draining within a couple of hours? And why would it start doing this all of a sudden. I also noticed that the actuators on my lights will not lift my headlights up but the lights do turn on. I replaced the gears in the motors to the brass ones. I've had the supercharger in my car for about a year now and havn't had a problem yet! HELP!

either your alternator is working to charge the battery, or you have some ground wires loose.

The thing is though, its sitting in my garage for the winter, I've been starting it up everyday and letting it idle for about 5 mins, so how could something come loose all of a sudden. When I go to start it, it makes these clicking sounds, then my alarm sounds.

5 minutes may not be enough to put back in the power your robbing from the battery to crank the engine and most likely your burning it out.

you need to get a battery charger to take care of the battery while your car is in storage. running the car on idle for 5 minutes will just foul and ruin your plugs as well as your bearings and rings.not good.

if a battery sits too long with low voltage it cannot be resurrected without a fight.somemes not at all.Take it to a local parts house wich can load test that battery and tell you if it can be charged quickly.Just because it can be charged eventually on a charger doesnt mean the battery is still juicy enough to charge on five minute trips to the store.
