my check engine light keeps coming on, the code said i have a misfire in cylinder #3. the plugs are good, i replaced the ignition
coil, and the fuel injector and it still surges and hesitates when i keep a steady foot on the gas. it also hesitates from a dead stop. i have a 1999 ford e150 with 116,000 miles on it, any ideas?

Change the plugs if you haven't already. Otherwise, you may have a problem in the wiring to the #3 coil or injector.

I have had the same kind of problems and finally today I found the fix to the problem. I had a diagnosis done and I replaced the "Throttle Positioning Sensor" located under the front of the throttle body. @ $50.00 item.
I couldn't believe the difference that it made. I was sceptical but now am HAPPY!!!
Give it a look.
