now that ive got my car lowered with the eibach springs(thanks Big L), i want to add an aftermarket exhaust. im looking at dynomax. does anyone know if a stock gt sounds ok with flowmasters? all i want is a little "grumble" when its idle, maybe a little louder when i pull off too. thanks

Are you looking at going with just some new mufflers or a catback system??

Id go with the dynomax.I have them and they sound good, the flowmaster's are a bit overpowering in sound on our V6

Didn't you put those on that 1949 Nash when you bought it NEW?
What did you pay for your's and what model did you get?

I cant remember,it been a few year's ! I Had bought the tip's,and Stainless steel 3 in U-bend delete from PFYC and took into a local exhaust shop and had a custom Stainless steel exhaust system made, 3in back to Y-pipe then 2.5 to the superturbos.

Sure just pass the Nash thing up, like it wasn't there.
I'm glad you have an unstanding Wife. If I told mine I want to get a custom exhaust. She would put both of my pairs of jeans in the street.

I usually just tell my wife that it's starting to get dangerous to drive. That's all she needs to hear and I can spend what I want. Had a tough time selling all the mods as safety-related!

The difference is some catback systen's are stainless steel and other's are aluminum. Some are stock Dia pipe and other's are 2.5 in dia.
If I were to buy a catback system,id go with the GMPP stainless steel exhaust system,it has a nice sound to it and the cost is about 500 bucks.
