Just got a 99' S-10 4x2 extended cab stepside. I'd like to lower it but it has stock rims and tires. How low can I go without worrying about tires rubbing. I dont mind having to cut out bump stops. I had 93 and dropped it 7.5 inches. I'd like to drop this 99' 5 inches. Is this too low? The front tires might tuck just a little like .5 inch or 1/2 inch. Would this be ok? Feel free to send pics to this thread and tell how low yours is.

to lower a truck or car check to see what the local laws are. you have a min body to ground code go as low as you you can. don't cut the body use a thinner tire.

Screw the local laws!! My last S-10 was 2.5 inches off the ground. The law can kiss my a$$
Ijust want to know how low i can go with stock rims and tires without any clearance issues, like I said all laws aside. Thanx for your input

5 inches would be about as much as you want to go.
Use 5 inch drop spindles in the front and 5 inch drop blocks in the rear.
You will need drop shocks too.

I've looked around and found this combo.lol. you cant get 5'' lowering spindles that i know of. I've never seen 5'' drop blocks either but thats ok i wont tell anyone.lol. I'm thinkin' 2'' springs with 3'' spindles in the front. And 2'' blocks with 3'' leaf springs in the rear and nitro shocks all the way around. My front tires should tuck about 1/2'' so it'll be close but oh well. I'll probably have to cut the rear bump stop brackets off the frame like I did on my 93'. I was hoping to come across someone that had already done this but I guess that was just wishful thinking. If someone does have a slammed 94'+ let me know and send picks if possible.
