I am taking a machine shop and welding class thru tennessee technology center and i was wanting to make a set of headers for a D16Z6 as a class project. I was wondering if anyone had any measurements of the size of the piping used and the size of plate between the head and the pipes. Mainly the plate between the head and the pipes we have an automotive class next door with a pipe bender but no diagrams on exaust or anything, so if anyone had dementions, blueprints, or possibly a way to get these measurements it would be helpful. thanks scott

Its not that hard man. Do you have a stock manifold or anything that you could use to get the measurements from? For the pipes, if you can find someone with a header and use a dial indicator to measure the diameter (inner and outer). Or if i remember, i can measure mine tomorrow at class. As for the flange, you can just trace that onto half inch stainless steel and cut it right out. Why rely on someone elses measurements? It just increases room for error. Im gonna be doin the same type of thing though. Im going to make a manifold for my turbo. also pondering fabbing up my own intake manifold too. Good luck
