Need Tranny info

Doing a D16Z6 motor swap in an 89 crx hf and was wondering if the 91 civic si tranny would be a direct swap or do i have to modify shift linkage or get differ axels, ect. Are there any mods to be made or does all just fall together?

yes a 91 SI Tranny will bolt up to it if its a D-series motor and its cable tranny it will bolt up fine. Im doing a motor swap also, but mine is a D15 V-tec and im getting a 91 SI tranny which should bolt up just fine. Im pretty sure thats it.

I was thinking about that swap because of the low miles on the jdm motor, but i found an outfit in calif. that sells the american versions completley rebuilt and i got a guy to cut me a deal for 1085 shipped with a tranny so i went with that.

you could have done an LS swap for just a little bit more...
