I bought one to put in my car a couple days ago, yesterday the car grew legs and has been missing since. I NO LONGER OWN AN AURORA!!! :banghead: Soon begins the search for another. I hope I catch the sorry SOB that stole it before the cops do. I'll probably never see the car again. If anyone spots a white on black '95 with 17's, loud exhaust and a bone stock stereo, let me know, would 'ya.

Dude, that royally sucks. I'm sorry to hear about your car. I hope you can get another soon or better yet find the person that stole yours and get it back.

Man, that is horrible and a real nightmare. Will be on the lookout. Hopefully it will turn up and in AOK condition. Sorry to hear it.

I thought the security key was supposed to stop these things ?

Yeah, um the key, right. The security key, unfortunatly, doesn't keep the spare key (above the passenger visor) from starting the car. Crazy! It doesn't matter though, because THEY FOUND IT TODAY!!! A few miles on the odo, a little dirty and some missing clothes & flashlight, otherwise exactly the same as I last saw it. So sorry, gonna keep the foglight bulb now.

madcatter,
you have learned a valuable lesson
If you buy a foglight bulb, fit it immediately. Before the car disappears.

was the bulb for the right side? :evillol:
glad to hear that you got it back in one piece. Now, you just need to install an alarm with electric shock!
:iceslolan

Thanks all for the advise! Chitty thing is, they took the spare keys with them. Now, I have to do the locksmith thing on doors and trunk but I'm not about to spend $140 on an ignition switch and $38 per key, especially when I can wire a remote switch for the fuel pump. It's tempting to do that and leave the car in the lot with the keys in, windows down just to watch that a$$hole take off in it for the whole 20 feet then run him down and put a few dents in his head!

That would be fun . Reminds me of the time my brother had a collectible mercedes and someone kept stealing the emblem off the grille. He rigged an alarm to the emblem itself and the very next day he caught some long haired hippy running from the car after making the alarm go off. From that point forward he was out to get that long hairs ponytail so that he could hang it from his mirror.
