power steering pump and alternator need change ??

Hi , it got 97 eclipse gs nt , when I bought my car , I can tell my power stearing pump went bad ,cause it move left and right, and make some noise too , and about my alternator ( if I spell right ) , it make some ticking noise , I talk to my mechanic today, and he tell me if I bring the part , he will install for me free. So I want to know is where can I find those part cheap ? , thanks.

if the power steering pump is moving left and right that might mean its loose just tighten it if its not making a sound and still works its still good remember if it aint broken dont fix it or replace it.

sounds like you just need to tighten up your power steering pump and maybe add some fluid. if the alternator hasn't failed yet, don't replace it, unless the bearing is out. i would have it looked at, but like coolguycooz said: if it ain't broken, don't fix it.

how do i tighten up my power steering pump , ( but it making clicking sound, and noise , i hate engine noise ) , BTW how do i know when is time to change my power steering pump and alternator , before it fail on me , and is there any sign that i can tell both of them defective , so I can change ?, thanks.
