the reason i ask is when i asked someone about getting a remote start put in they said i would have to buy a module because the key is chipped, and i only have one key so i called the dealership to see how much another one would cost and the dealer ship wanted $70 for a new key, thats canadian.

Yep, you got a chip. You can get bypasses for some Hondas that do not require a key at www.bypasskit.com
