Hello.
My Dad bought a 90 Mighty Max and it runs like crap unless you keep the key turned in the start position(turned clear over and hold on like your cranking it) then it runs good?
He tuned it up, put a new switch on and a new starter, but it still does it? Any ideas why? Tnx, Rod

did you check the timing, some ecu actually retard timing as engine is starting to make for easy starting, if the key is turned it would keep the ecu in the starting mode if the timing is a little off this could cause it to retard it in to proper timing
