Stars Under Name

I pass through here periodically and noticed these stars. Who puts stars under our names and what do they mean?

I saw someone named !!!!!! who just joined the forum and has all yellow stars? What does that mean and who put them there?

It is an indicator of how many posts you have. Mods have all the stars yellow. I believe it is a default forum server function - no one puts them there individually.
