crank pulley broke off my 98' 626es

Anyone ever had there crank pulley come apart It has two pulleys put together, the inside pulley of the two runs ps. the outside pulley runs the ac. and alt. on a 98' 626 es, the out side pulley is mounted to the inside pulley with rubber, some how it got hot enough to melt the rubber between the pulleys and made them come apart and burned up the belt, I smelled rubber burning about a hundred miles before it came unglued
