hell yeah today i had a real race, i pulled up next to a 2000 z28 & he revved his engine, so when the light turned green i floored it and i took him bad i guess he didn't expect my third gen to take him :evillol: so at the next light he says lets do it again, well this time he was ready but i still took him by three car lengths :smokin:

My guess is he sees LT1 on ur sig so he thinks he can beat u. Which is a common mistakes cause some LT1's can surprise u.

As far as that list, you had better get a little more than an LT1 to knock off that hyabussa. When I get my stage engine done and tuned, I want to take on of them on.

I used to think it that but once at the track i was shown defferently. Since then i pick my battles with the LT1's. The freakin LT1 beat me by just about 3 tenths. At idle it didn't sound to mean so i figured what the heck.

Cause there is about a 50 Horsepower difference between the 2 so the LT1 has a little catching up to do stock but 50 horsepower is easy enough to make up for

yeah, when i was in hs we had a kid with an LT1 94 Z28 and a kid with a 99 TA with an LS1.. the 94 had more mods.. but he definately got the best of the LS1

i myself talk more highly of the ls1 over the lt1 is for the fact that bolt ons are real friendly with it. that engine isnt hard to get alot out of and all u lt1 owners know what im talking about when i start talking about oil leaks from seals and other places. the lt1 is a great engine too but it requires a bit more maitanance, and a bit more cash to keep up with the ls1

Sorry but I disagree with pretty much everything you just said. Mods cost less and because its been out longer there are more parts available with a LT1. So it would be cheaper to make a LT1 faster and I have never had a oil seal or leak problem nor have any of my friends who owned them and thats about 20 people with LT1's and maintance is no more expensive on a LT1 than it is on a LS1 only issue people point out with LT1's is the opti and thats a issue what every 100K?. I love the LS1 and stock for stock it is the better engine. N/A(no power adders) with same mods done it will make more power but the LT1 is just as good modification wise.

John u dont know 20 people period. U freakin liar. Just kidding. I think they both great engines its just the LS1 responds a bit better but like he said LT1 parts are cheaper being that they have been out longer. Plus if u wanted to go real hiperformance the Iron block of the LT1 would be key.

oh no doubt i do agree that the parts are cheaper and they may have more im saying to get real high power out of both of the cars it would be easier with the ls1 u dont have to do much to them and im not doubting u havent had any problems with your lt1 but what i should have said is when u ride ther hell out of lt1's they do leak oil from some spots. everyone i know with both engines have built thease cars to run on the track and a few use them as daily drivers also and it may be just me but the lt1's require more work. not saying anything is wrong with it just that ive noticed that. im not going to go off on a ledge and say its like compairing your engine to mines because we both know that is 2 totaly different classes all together but when u have one engine that runs great and u can mod the hell out of it and get what u want and another engine that is closer to what u want and u mod it a little bit and get what u want and a bit more im just saying its a no brainer. ( its like how much will u pay for 500hp on your lt1 and how much will i pay for it in my v6)
