Removing the resonator

Has anyone removed their resonator? I am getting a rumble from below, and it has a small hole in it. A patch kit lasted a few months, but I'm wondering what are the pros and cons of removing it. Thanks

It may make your exhaust sound a little poppy, but I'm not sure what it'll sound like on yours exactly. It'd be only like a 1-2 horse gain, if that's all you're removing.

Take a long trip with the resonator out and you'll wish you had left it in place. Choice is yours. Good luck!

Yeh that's what I've heard. I never removed mine - I considered it, and people said that it sounded like popcorn at idle, and got annoying driving it for a long time from the constant rumbling.

I would personally vouche against it.
