Honda Insight

Does anyone know how hard it would be to do a motor swap in an Insight??? I duno understand the whole hybrid thing. Would the swap be a pain in the butt to do?

why the hell would you want to do that? plus, those things are ugly

yes it cna be done. yes it is a pain in the ass to do. more sophistacated then the level of skill you posses

I wanted to know cuz in 2006 there redesigning the insight and it looks like a new CRX. So i figure if the crx doesnt come out like honda is talkin about then im goin to but an insight in '06 and do a motor swap.
Its pretty retarded i guess but i was lookin at pics of it last nite and it looks to much like a crx. any hints on how much of a pain it would be?

ive seen an insigth that had a gsr in it and turbo. it was a full race car so it isnt made to run on the street so i probably didnt have any street luxury.

probably gotta change everything from the wiring harness, mounts, just everything

Haipong: You cant belive that. The insight weights what....1800 lbs???? With the GSR motor and turbo thats atleast 200 hp to the crank. In a car weighing 1800 lbs. And there might have been more done to it.
