Here's my tuner. Whether or not if it's for the contest depends on if it gets done in time. My modeling gets hurried for NO ONE...muaahhhh :)
Well here's my latest. This will be a tuner in every sense of the word (except engine mods of course..stupid curbsides galor). Back seats will be removed for the obligatory ice. Roll cage bent from evergreen tubing. Custom dash gauges, tach and screen. Two tone int. 23" chrome rims. Exterior: custom front lip, side skirts, and rear valence, sponsor decals and custom graphics. I'll let these pictures speak their respective 'thousand words' each
skirts and rear valence. Still needs a touch up.

This is what it comes like notice the air vent on the hood and the off center liscense plate (behind the plate is totally solid...on one side only. I had to change that, it just looks to asymetrical and lop-sided for my taste. I closed the top gap and made the front openings the same.

http://img93.exs.cx/img93/6466/img22919ar.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)
Here's some stuff from the inside. TV is TOTALLY scratch. Just used two little sheets of styrene and used tiny tubing pieces for the nobs. Clear styrene was used for the 'screen'
http://img214.exs.cx/img214/8713/img22489yj.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)
Dremeled out the back seats just used my imagination, that dip is for a nos canister This is all styrene sheets, cut to shape and glued together over what was left of the seats (the dip is half of a big tube) and putty.
Never mind the date

this two-tone was done by masking and then 'splattering' some white primer over the black. Then I airbrushed the green over the surface that was splattered to get that funky look.

I'm a medical student.
And as for the subs thing, I was thinking maybe a little bigger, but I'm going to add alot more to that area and I don't want it cluttered.

Finished the 'underneath' paint scheme. This will be the base for the graphics. Three thick lines coming from above the rear wheel well and spreading out towards the front door. I will put tape over the areas' that will remain this color and then I will spray the rest of the body the final color I want it to be. First used tamiya light green and then used taimya metallic green. then cleared it

ladies and gents thank you much for the compliements. I am sorry to say that with all 'expertise' at painting and building I seam to be lacking expertise in reading. I before painting the body I did everything correctly to prep it, besides....read the can. I used model masters FLAT black. Once I started to spray I noticed that I just wasn't looking right. So my impatience got the best of me (yet I still hadn't read the can). Even though I knew that I should just let it dry and then see why the paint wasn't looking right or maybe do a little sanding, I just kept WET COATING. Only after multiple coats did I realize my ever so simple mistake. "So just clear coat" you say...well turns out the my enormous amount of paint cracked and being that I had black over green...it didn't look pretty at all, yet I still clear coated it though. Here's a pic of the car, you can't notice the cracks so much on this side. It is now sitting in brake fluid as we speak and I"m crossing my fingers because I did a decent amount of work on the skirts and front.
I know enough of myself to know that no amount of sanding by me will ever make this look respectable. So... here comes the juice

here's some progress. I finished the tv (changed it for a smaller one that can take the place of the passenger air bag compartment (he better where is seat belts)
http://img211.exs.cx/img211/8070/img25138wl.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)
epoxy putty over small pieces of styrene molded with a toothpick and sanded. the tv is a dash mounted one from a die-cast tuner

http://img222.exs.cx/img222/3770/img25174dq.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)
cheap brake fluid...dot3 overnight worked like a charm...all i had to do was use a toothbrush under water with soap, reglue..a little basic putty (which was eaten up). And I primered away. I definitely recommend using this is if you've messed a paint job up.

here's some progress, the interior is done and damn it was soooo tuff
Yes I know the roll bar is pretty thick and messy looking, but this won't be the top part wont' be visible as it's going to hug the ceiling of the car. Hence, I didn't give it much effort to make nice smooth and perfect (as if I could any way...first effort at making a custom roll cage.)

http://img196.exs.cx/img196/516/img25445mj.jpg (http://www.imageshack.us)
Yes, I know the seatbelt buckles are WAY off BUT i didn't have any more buckles to work with and I didn't want to wait for more (anxious to finish this thing already!)

damn..that really sucks. Not the model but the paint thing. I don't know if you said where you got the amps from but i know where they came from. Revell Escalade. I'm using them in my ford focus ICE. They are really nice amps. I dabble in ICE in models but never can do the putty stuff.. nothing ever works for me. Even though the car is curbside, you could still detail the engine. Put in an IC, Cone Filter in one of the openings.. just some things to give the impression theres a tuned engine. Keep up the good work

Not much work getting done. I've been studying for my liscensing exam ... About the car,
don't let the picks fool you, the paint is not getting dull, it's the lighting. I'm gonna take some outdoors as soon as it's done. I still have to actually attach the wheels, some minor pieces and give it a good wax (after I'm done getting my nasty finger prints on it).
what do you guys think...stock wing or get a gt wing?
