2000 Transmission Delay From Stop

In a 2000 Ford V8, the transmission seems to delay when accelerating from a stop. Any ideas? Is there an additive which could be thrown in?

I've seen a lot of similar posts, but none that seem to match this problem.

just get a tranny service..and change oils.
