Valve cover gaskets

I'm replacing the valve cover gaskets on a replacement 2.3 quad 4 for a 95 grand am, and i had to take the timing cover, chain, cam gears, camshaft off. I was wondering if their was anything i need to be aware of before i put this back together. My concern is mainly with the timing issue, because i had to take all that apart. Thanks

LoL love the name.
Make sure the copper sided link is facing outward, and the notch on your crankshaft is pointing straight up. Also, I believe the notches on each cam shaft need to be pointing dead right (0 degrees). I think these positions are correct. Wait for someone else to reply.

Manual states that in timed position, the crank markon the crankgear is pointing straight up to the alignement mark on the case. Then, the L cam gear, as seen from the front, has a small hole [align hole] which should be at bottom of gear pointing down toward the crankgear case mark [almost in a direct straight line].
The R gear align hole should be practically on the very bottom of gear in relation to the engine. It sounds goofy, but without being able to show you the diagram, essentially both small gear holes should be at the bottom of the camgears.

Not meaning to be overboard, but that's why you mark positions of gears to something before pulling them.

Yeah, i was afraid i might have to do that, but the camgears are keyed so if i put everything back on the exact position it came off assuming the engine was not turned at all, it should be fine right?
