I already posted a thread with this probly but noone helped. When I step on the break of my car there is like a popping noise its like pop pop pop pop pop. And also anytime i hit small bumps or anything it feels like if im not holding the wheel the car will just take off. it like jerks. It feels alomost like somthigns loose in my front end. I had my car lifted and both wheels off. My rotors arnt bent, my breaks are fine. My cv joints are tight my tie rod ends are tight. Everything in there is tight. Any clues anyone?

Its like a sound as if you pop a body part out of its socket. JUst a little louder. I dont have after market rims or times though. It feels like my car will go left or right. like somthing is loose.

did you check the alignment? does this popping sound occur only when you apply the brakes? does it occur when you're travelling in a straight line and braking? how about braking around a corner? is there any vibration that accompanies this popping sound?

i hear a low popping sound along with a major vibration whenever the car is under load and i'm turning the wheel to the right. i've been told i should check my CV joints. Also i've been told it could perhaps be the wheel bearings! i never thought of that, but just maybe. lubrication is utterly important. the wheel bearings can be rather easily greased, however i can't remember what removing them entails.

as to your car feeling like it wants to go left or right, that's right on with your symptopms IF a vibration accompanies this popping sound you hear. a vibration could result in a shaking of the tie rods, giving you a sense of instability, especially with regards to steering.

check your ball joints for up and down movement inside the wishbone. our ball joints are prone to going loose inside the recess of the wishbone.

this will give you a quiet knock,similar to you tapping something with your knuckles. normally gives only one knock when the suspension is going up or down particularly when braking.get a bar and push up the wishbone once the car is jacked up and i bet you see movement in the ball joint.

Sounds like a inner CV joint problem. Unfortunately they don't tolerate a lot of where so what appears to be tight could have enough slack to "pop". Next time you drive your car try and determine if it's the left or right side and check the inner CV joint boot for tearing. (where the driveshft enters the transmission on the front wheels).
