Everyone with greddy mx exhaust

I would like to know if the greddy mx exhaust for the p10 is loud. thanks

not really.......it is louder than stock though

thanks another question. Does it sound like the honda civic type exhuast systems. i don't want it that loud just a little noise when i punch the throttle

It doesn't sound like a tin can if thats what you mean. You can get more sound when you punch it if you get an intake too :D

Its nice at low rev's and mean when you put your foot down.

Well a full cat back doesnt give much more than just a rear.......and obx doesnt suck. Its not worth another 200 to 300 for 2 or 3 hP!:alien: :bloated: :licker: :smoka: :flash:

sorry, but the OBX looks like just another hop on the import bandwagon, poor-quality rice cannon. besides, is the OBX even an axle back? depending on your mods, a full exhaust setup can be well worth the money. you won't get much from the OBX but just a different sound.

Actually, the cat back will be pretty much the same on performance but different on the sound. Full cat back will only give you about 2 or 3 over just a rear. Look around, this is told many times by other people. OBX has been here for a long time, its just that they used to be so expensive that not many have had them, but now, they are cheaper so its getting out there more. OBX is of great quality, and maybe you should ask around more before you knock something! Many from this forum have ordered OBX from me and have had no complaints! well, again it really depends on what mods you have.

i have never even heard of OBX until recently. when i checked out their products, all i saw were knock-off mufflers, altezzas, cheap coilovers and all kinds of assorted rice. i was quickly reminded of tenzo r.

And I love how this forum is full of ignorant people. Your G20 could sound just like that Honda you so much detest, with a cheap muffler. Put on a good quality exhaust, and it will sound nice, wich is what you are looking for. :rolleyes:

I don't want a civic type exhaust. i just want a little noise not like a honda. i hate hondas every one has those cars. it's easy to trick a car that you can get parts for every where. i like having a challegne and having a car that looks good. i dont want a ricer or it sounding like a ricer. See, a Honda does not have a 'ricy' sound. It is the exhaust that causes the noise. If you were to put that same muffler on your G20, you would get the same noise. A good exhaust on a civic, sounds good. At least my HKS sounds pretty damn good to me.

And just so you know, I have three G20's in my family, and I drive two of them. So I am not just strictly a Honduh driver. :rolleyes: :D

yeah this thread turned. sorry for sying that. that was my personal opnion. I just didn't want a 3/4 alxe back i wanted a caback. thats why i said obx sucks. sorry okay my opnion. and you have yours. so any sorry if i offeneded you i just disagree because i think that catbacks are better and i would spend the extra 200 to 300 for 2-3 more hp. plus with other mods like header intake and cams it would greater then 2-3. but anyways my opnion again. sorry for offfending you.

The OBX exhaust I have heard on Honduh's, and shit, even a the godly Nissan's, have a raspy sound. So unless OBX has changed their poduct, I still think they rate up there with TenzoR, and APC.

The Greddy will be more effective the more mods are added. A weld on (to stock exhaust, even axle back) will become more restrictive as mods are added.

This is true for most all engine mods. Say you have just a header. It will make a difference. Now you add a CAI, power output will be greater than without a CAI. Now you add Random Tech cat and a set of camshafts. Your engine is now putting out more power than stock yet you're not really noticing a huge difference. You finally throw on full cat-back mandrel bent, bigger pipe exhaust and BINGO that was your answer. Now that your mods are all complimentary (which is the key) all your parts can be experienced at a level that they were designed too. You see, though the exhaust itself seems shady, it compliments the rest of your mods which is essential.

A better example would be a hole in wall. There is water on both sides of the wall. Now the water starts to flow faster one way. The hole was only designed for a small amount of water. Now that water is flowing faster one way it will start to collect and build up essentially making this hole a "choke" spot instead of a outlet. Now make the hole bigger and what happens, all that built up water will begin to flow better.

Though not a perfect example, you still get the point...I hope. I trust we all know that too big of a pipe will kill performance. The example was for stock vs. pre-made cat-back (i.e.-Greddy).

Yea yea I hear what you are saying! MAkes sence to me.....but, our G's were made with a really good exhaust system though.....so a cat back doesnt help that much more! I could see this on a HONDUH:alien: :bloated: :licker: :smoka: :flash:

I might be going out on a limb, but I don't think you have laid a stock G20 exhaust next to a cat-back. If you have, you wouldn't have said what you just did. It's not as good as you think it is although it is a little better than a Honda.

Well, I went over to P_R_I_M_E_R_A 's house and saw and heard his Greddy.......well if I get a catback I am deffinately getting one of those! I LOVE IT! Sounds so freaken nice!
