I have a 94 Caprice classic with a 4.3L V8 and I want to put in a 350. what would have to be done besides just swapping engines...do i need other parts such as radiator, water pump, wiring harness, ditributor, alternator??? or do i just swap the engines...Also what kind of transmission do i have? would i need to change that or anything else...thanks Kyle

The L99 is the same externally as a LT1. I don't see any problems if you swap out one for the other. You may have to swap the ecu though, I'm not entirely sure.

You shouldn't need the whole ecu, only the chip thats underneath. You only need to remove a small panel on the back of the computer....which is underneath the air filter box. Very easy to do. just find someone parting out a 9c1 and you'll be set. Good Luck.

That will also depend on whether or not it is an OBD1 or OBD2 system. Make sure to check which one your car is and your donor engine too. If it's a '94, it should be OBD1... but make sure to be safe.
