ok, so i have done some searching on the forum, and couldn't get my question answered. i am looking at some 17x7 wheels with an offset of 40. i was thinking of going with 215x45x17 tires. does anyone see a problem with this setup rubbing? also, i have b&g springs (1.5" drop).

Nope...I bet you should be fine...check this out...I had 225/40ZR18 tires on my 18x7.5 with +43 offset....never rubbed unless I fully turned the wheel but it was only touching some plastic lining...pretty harmless...

oh and I also had 215/45ZR17 before when I had my old SSR GP-O on my G....never had a problem....I believe they were +38 or +40 offset...don't remember it was awhile ago...

thanks ty. when you had the 17s on there, were the wheels pushed out a little farther? i want the wheels to be a bit closer to the fenders, not look set in as much as the stock wheels.

the front is very close the fenders even with 45mm offset (stock offset). prefer the front to be as tucked in as the rear, but the sus geometry doesn't let me. mines a 17x7 with 215/45/17 rollers.
