Now I'm having a stereo issue!!

I just spent like 6 hrs ripping my entire car apart, and installing 2 new 4 ga amp kits, and re wiring all 4 mid's and highs with MONSTER CABLE. If you don't know about the cable it's like the best shit you can buy and it's expensive as shit. It's supposed to be extra low noise, and reject any interference -+60db cost me like $350 just for all the cables.

ANYWAY My whole mission was to get rid of my fucking alternator noise, I can hear this high pitched wine, tuned to the rpms of my motor comming out through my speakers.

Now, I know wtf I'm doing, and I redid every possible connection. Redid ground cables to the amps, and battery, and ran new wires to them, new terminals etc.

Now the damn whining sound is EVEN LOUDER! The speakers sound a lot better when the car is off, but the damn whining is a lot louder now. WTF else can I do? Is it my CD player that is fucked up!? I've run outta ideas, and help would be appreciated, thx for taking the time to read it!

CN: I have a high pitched whine in tune with my rpms, redid all connections/grounds with high quality wire, and still have nasty loud whine when motor is on. Help.

There is some info about a "noise reduction" thing in the electrical section of the manual. I can't find it right now, but here's the electrical page so you can look through it...

Did you try grounding the alternator better? Like maybe a grounding kit for the engine bay?

If you ran your RCA's near your power wires (to the amps) you'll get engine noise. I have my power wire running down the passenger side of the car & all my RCA's run along the driver side of the car. Never had a problem with engine noise...

^ same - the guy who installed says you'll always get feedback if power and rca are together

That's what I did, I actually have the battery in the back now, so I just ran all the rca's down one side. I figured out the problem, my wires aren't hidden or done up nicely, they were laying like right on top of the power wire comming from my starter and like wrapped around my ground connections, as soon as I moved them around a bit, the noise stopped. Thanks for all your suggestions!

oh and Civicspoon, I'm also going to do that, make a better 4ga ground for the motor, 'cause I just have the shitty stock rusted crappy connection there now, never realized that mattered.

You did notice that all that $$ spent on the Monster Cables was a waste wasn't it? Many times people don't want to spend the money on high dollar shit which is OK if they run the wires correctly. Heck, in my demo car, I have one of the cheapest sets of RCA's that I have in there.

No, the wires are awesome, the sound is a lot more "full" and the bass projects a lot better, and sounds a lot cleaner than before. It was worth the money.
