I have a p0341 error on my jetta it says pcm determined the voltage signal camshaft position sensor is out of range. And the clerk at autozone shows no sensor for this circuit is installed in the vehicle.Does anyone have any insight as to what would cause this error to be posted.I had him reset it and it came right back.

Your car should have a camshaft position sensor. If that is your question. Maybe its bad. Try searching the code Here. http://tech.bentleypublishers.com/forum.jspa?forumName=volkswagen.a.a3

It does have a cam sensor, but it's actually called the Hall sensor & is located in the distributor. The car won't run if it's bad, if you keep getting this code it's an intermittent problem. Try cleaning the distributor connection first.

94-99 2.0 will set a this code also if the timing belt is old and streches causing the crank to spin at a faster speed than the distributor shaft and the ecm reding it as a bad sensor.
