Wot da flock would you want with 26" rims, except for the "bling-bling" value?? Only heavyweight ballers, sports/entertainment figures can probably afford them! And then, to top THAT off, nobody's even touched on the TIRES for 'em!! DAYUM!! I bet you've gotta take out a small business loan just to LOOK at them... let alone buy them!!

But maybe, like ZondaFreak02 said, if they lowered the suspension a bit, it'd look a bit more symetrically tight!

To each their own, I guess...

the problem with it is that, yeah, they need to drop it alot, but if they do that, the turining ability becomes nill, not bad for show if dropped, but you'd have to bring it on a trailer, and that would not *bling* unless you bought more of 'em and put them on the trailer too... :smoker2:

The rims are hot as hell, but you need a different truck for them. The Landcruiser is alright, but you defintly need something bigger. Like a suburban denali, them rims would look tight on a suburban denali. Or a chromed out hummer, those dubs would be just right for a chromed out hummer. They will also look good on an excursion. You need a really big truck for these rims. I think they would also look good on any streched out suv limo.

those rims are pretty bling bling but you still gotta show some respect cause you know they were at least 10k. heres another pic of the truck that ive had on my site for a while
http://biancamarcel.com/MONSTROSITIES/wheels/W011.jpg

my boyfriend was putting a whole bunch of tv screens in this one drug dealers 02 excursion last week. he only had 24s but still, that truck kicked ass. when we were driving it back to the guys house we kept on getting rolled up on by thugs and we were all scared because we kept thinking we were going to get car jacked.

Lol, that thing looks crazy. I like how it looks when it is lowered.... it looks like one of those little drawing people put on t-shirts of civics and stuff where they have wey oversized rims and lots of negative camber.

I would drive it like that ;)

If I remember right, it was like 25 (or was it 15?).

Needless to say, 26" rims haven't gained much popularity since I originally posted this poll...

I think they are called "moonwalkers".:sun:

THESE RIMS ARE THE SH!T, I SAY THE BIGGER THE BETTER, BETTER FOR FLOSSING, BIG RIMS IS A SIGN OF PRESTIGE, IT MAKES PEOPLE LOOK YOUR WAY, ISNT THAT THE POINT OF HAVING A NICE RIDE, BIG RIMS WOULD HELP, BUT YES UNDER A DIFFERENT RIDE FOR SURE, HUMMER WOULD BE SWEET

there are many different types of "moonwalking" rims, theres some at a site like davinwheels.com or something close to that but i know that other companies make them and call them spinners, but there is one site, with movies of these rims on a navigator, and mercedez wagon, pretty tight,

SilverLotus340R
09-29-2002, 03:41 PM
a hummer would crush those rims...

theyd never fit on a car..without making it looks like a 4 wd and like 20 inches off the ground..

If you get 24" spinners it will run you about $20,000.

Now I remember why I avoid this particular forum like the plague...

Call me old fashioned, but I'll go for 17" 2 piece Fuchs any day of the week... 17x8 wheel, 14.5 lbs, with an anodized black finish...

(these are custom wheels, not factory)

I think those wheels look ridiculous, and that anyone who buys a wheel bigger than 18" is just wasting their money for a look. Sort of like putting stickers on you car

Photoshopz!

Well, this thread was started a year ago... back then I thought 26" rims would never be made. I was wrong & they seem to be creepin' up in popularity in some crowds. The sad thing is... these rims DECREASE performance! They weigh so much that the engine has to struggle more to turn them.

Give me 17" forged alloy wheels anyday and I'll :smoker2: you!

So the first one's a Photoshop as well? Thought so! I know the one I had was. And yeah, wheels seem to be getting increasingly larger, espeically with the growing popularity of SUVs - mainly in the US. Adding wheels that aren't original size to any car (even if I put 17" on my car, it has 16") affects the speeometer, gearing and several other factors.

No, its a photo that was actually taken down the street from my work over a year ago... back when that size of rim was yet to hit the market. Back then it seemed crazy. Now 30" rims... BAD idea for performance! Especially with lo-pros that extreme... you'll be cracking off the lip of the wheel just driving on a nice paved road?!?!

Those are the thinnest tyres I have ever bloody seen!

There is a BMW X5 in Sydney with 24" rims with 315 wide tyres and the owner is constantly smokin them up.

Lol i have that same truck in a picture but a different view of it from the other side and it looks like it was at an auto show but i say those rims on an escalade would be better, but even better is 26" wire wheels but thats just my own thing, i love wire rims, but how big are shaqs rims, anyone know if they are 26" or 28" i think they are 28s but i dunno, the ones on the hummer i do believe

True.. to each his own, I guess:bandit: I just know that I love the way my new Suburban kicked azz left & right (when it actually ran - see my other posts). I love doing mass-burnouts and seeing peep's jaws just drop... can't do that when you've got $15,000 spent on your rims...

03-26-2003, 07:51 PM
NOOOOOO ... seriously that don't look good..

cause now you can't slam that ride.. look stupid

i'd say get some 20 - 22's and lower the ride more!

lewdaka03
03-27-2003, 03:49 PM
those really arent 30"s they are 24''s with a 6'' lip that woul be insane lexani al so has some that are 19" with a 3" inch lip that fit on cars that can have a 35 series or higher tire.
