Puff of smoke

I just purchased a '99 4runner 2wd SR5 w/3.4 6-cyl w/65k. It runs and rides great. On about the 5th day of owning it I moved it in the driveway about 20ft and then an hour later I moved it again about. When I started it the second time a good sized puff of smoke came out of the exhaust. It might have been blue-ish or white. Hard to tell. My father-in-law says not to worry yet. The tailpipe isn't black (not burning oil) and he said his truck does this sometimes when moving it a short distance. This vehicle is supposed to last me along time and I was dissapointed with the puff of smoke. Any smoke seems not to be a good sign. Do I need to worry yet?
ps I have a 6 month/6000 mile drivetrain warranty from the dealership.

My best guess is that you have a leaking injector that drips. The puff of smoke is the burning of oil from the initial firing of one of the cylinders where some of the oil has washed off the cylinder walls. If all the plugs look clean (no serious problem), then I would pull the injectors and see if you can spot the leaker by appearances. I don't know how to fix this problem other than replacing the bad injector, but there may be a way.
