2000 firebird cd install

I need help....i bought a cd player for my firebird and i was wondering if anyone knows what screws i need to pop to get the dash up.....i have installed cd players before in my other cars , but for some reason having a hard time figuring this one out :( please help!!! thanx

Get a flat head screw driver and stick it under the corners of the bezel around the radio and ac controls. It looks like this:

Then carefully lift each corner up and they should pop right out. since it's a newer car, it might be somewhat sluggish and tight at first, but regardless, it should slide right out. That would then expose the screws that you need to take out to pull the radio out. Good luck.

wow...thats easy lol so it should just pop right out...thats cool i thought i was gonna have to take the whole dash out cause its all one piece surrounding the bezel..thanks!!!

Yeah I think we all think that the first time we look at the stereo and want to swap it out. Or at least I know I did, until I read mt Haynes manual. Anyway, good luck, and let me know if I or anyone else can help you out.
