So you've got a SOHC? Why not just spend a few extra and get the TT engine if your realy thinking about a swap?

because the DOHC is free, making the TT engine way more than a couple hundred difference.

jup thats right. also there arent any tt's around in iceland. and i havent got the money to spend 16-24g's on a vr-4 and also the turbo is such a gaz guzzler that i wuld rather have my old firebird back and i dont want that :) this is only my school car i will upgrade to something that packs a better punch after i have finished school
i have got one question though.... the sites that the moderator showed only cover a engine swap from year to year. but i have a engine that it the same model and everything and i just need to know what needs to be changed from a sohc do a dohc

well since they all have the same size, yes I would presume you could fit a TT engine into the vehicle. however there would be fabrication that would need to be done.
