Hey all,

I have a 01 rodeo I just purchased and after a few days the check engine light came on. I ran the codes and found P0300 random misfire. Although the vehicle was running fine, I ordered some plugs. The plugs I installed was ac delco. When I removed the old plugs I found they were all loose and so I thought this was my problem. After the install the light came right back on after I cleared it and still had p0300. The vehicle does not miss at all and the plugs I removed were auto lights. I have put on alot of miles on the vehicle before the light came on and I kinda was familar with the previous owner so this is a new problem. I was told that Denso plugs were the only thing that will run in these. The vehicle has 65000 miles and like I said there was no problem in the past. Please help....

Yank the neg terminal on your battery for 15 mins and see if the code comes back.

The 2000+ 3.2/3.5 will give you the random misfire codes on spark plugs other than denso due to the ion sensing module on the ignition system. Best price I've found on denso plugs are @ sparkplugs.com It's a PITA, but until we find some suitable alternatives for plugs, we're stuck!!
G/luck
