Engine Swap

I am looking into doing an engine swap for my 2000 Malibu. I want to go with a small block v8 of some sort. My question is has anyone done this in a 97 to 03 malibu? If so, what engine did you transplant? How much did it cost roughly? What else did you have to do to the car to complete the swap? If no one has transplanted a v8, is there anyone who has swapped the 3.1 for any bigger engine? Would the 3.5, or the 4.3 v6 fit in there? How difficult would the transmission swap be for either of those engines, since both are FR engines? Any advice would help. Thanks.
