I have a 95 integra special edition and i changed the block out and put the motor back in and now after fixing all kinds of stuff, the car over heats when i drive it. It will kinda do ok when i drive lightly and slow, as soon as i give it some go it soon starts to heat up. Then usually will cool down somewhat quickly. I changed the thermostat and that kinda helped, but it still heats up. Ideas anyone?

I would check the coolant level, sounds kinda like you are low on coolant or there is a blockage somewhere in the system.

did you put a block guard in it. some block guards do not let the correct amount of coolant to flow. if not check for cloggs. or find a mechanic asap there might be a detonation problem

I dont have any lights on, no block guard or anything. The engine makes a lot of noise when it idles, like theres no oil but there is. The car will heat up, then cool off. I dont know how to check for blockage, but if you guys no how fill me in!

Are you sure that you have the hoses connected correctly?

you filled the radiator up right? when it overheats, is there loss of coolant...................no, yes, if so, how much? are your fans working? when you put the motor back in, did you check compression for a leaking head gasket or cracked cylinder bore and head.............may cause coolant leakage internally. have you even checked all coolant lines, radiator cap, and the radiator itself to see if you have external coolant leakage? check lines for blockages. when was the last time you replaced the water pump?
you said the engine makes noises when it idles, but, how does the actual idle look......................describe it.
you said it does not overheat when you drive it slow.....................so if you drove it slow, it does not overheat.............correct? when you drive it this way, does the temp gauge go past the 1/2 mark?
you said you were fixing all kinds of stuff.......................such as what?
im also assuming that you correctly set the ignition timing after putting the motor back in.

Turned out to be a bad head gasket. Runs great now. Thanks for your help!
