Despite the rain, still a good night

Well, me and my buddy were hoping for a halfway decent night last night, and as the rain just picked up, felt as if our hops were so horribly dashed against the rocks. However, suprisingly, things were pretty good. We got to make fun of another friend that works at Applebees by making him sing to this chick we were with, and more importantly, got some good races in.

First race wasn't really us racing, but it was still pretty good. We we're sliding onto the 'loop' if you will, and were behind a 1980 'Stang and a white Sliverado, step side, with exhaust. The Stang and Chevy were reviing pretty mad back and forth, and both were brake tourqing, spinning the wheels like mad. Me and my friend were like...ok, this is sick.

Light goes green, and they both take off, spinning all the way through the intersection becuase of the rain. However, the Mustang grabs traction first, and starts to walk away. I dont think he was going WOT (even though it sounded like it), becuase I was able to stay on his ass pretty good. We both get away from the truck, but at the next light, olny one lane is open, so I swing in behind him. Hes brake tourqein' pretty hard, and spinning the wheels. Light goes green, and he gets a good launch, but I'm still on his ass. I swing out into the next lane, and we get next to each other, and I punch it. We stay pretty even, with him and me gettin a nose here and there, pretty much an even match. I let off becusae at 90mph, Im doin sixty over the limit, and my TC light keeps flashing.

The road forms into one lane, and I let off, letting him get in front of me. I follow him into a parking lot, and we get out and talk. All he has on it was a suspension set up, stock V8 motor. It was a good sleeper, because it looked like a total piece. We talk a little bit, and then parted ways, saying we'd see each other around.

We head back to the little strip, and cruise a little bit, looking for some more runs. I keep taunt a Lancer, Prelude, and a Civic, but I just cant get them to bite. We get to the end of our loop, turn around, and end up lined up next to a Sebring coupe.....With a NOS Sticker.

I look over, and rev once or twice to get his attention, but nothing. Light goes green, and I even let him get a jump, but still nothing. However, as I'm pacing him, he looks over, and punches it. Quick downshift into second, and I've already halted his little run. Stay on it, up through third, and I shut down at 80, about two lengths up, give or take. At this point, my friend looks over and shouts "WHERES THE NOS HARDASS!" I'm busy laughing my ass off, and we let the guy take off, and dont chase.

At this point, I've seen a few more squad cars than usual, so I think, ok, game over for the night. I also tortured a little Civic becuase I was in an asshole mood, but its not really worth posting. All in all, pretty good night. Now that there is a fourth person on the borad in the MO area, I'm seriously feeling an AF.com MO meet...

lol ur a bully, picking on ricers and such. But good kills, i hate rainy nights when you want to race. It was icy and rainy here tonight, i drove like a grandma home, not that their were any cars out to race anyways.

ur crazy, like i said, i couldn't race cuz of the traction, i'm a base model GT w/ no traction control, no ABS so when i lock up, or start sliding i'm straight f*cked ... i think i've figured that out too many times before

i'll call you up next time its nice and dry outside, cuz i've got a few honda's lined up for $$ that think they are pretty quick

Yes, this year is starting out just like last year: RAIN RAIN RAIN! I can done and see it coming! When racing season gets started, it'll be every weekend: RAIN!

Literally, last season, we missed and entire month straight becuase of the stupid rain! If it hadn't been for the rain, I would have got to race more then just 10 events, lol.

The track may not even open this year (lease is up, the guy that had it lost his ass this past season, mainly becuase of the bad luck with weather and having to run the neihboring dirt track), so if it don't, then I probably wont get to run but once every 2 or 3 weeks anyways!

Good kills/keep ups Cassie. Just be sure and be extra careful in the rain.

It was raining really bad this morning, but the racers were still biting as if nothing happened. Hooked and sank a Fiero and a riced out Accord in the space of an hour before I went to classes. Then I had some bastard in a Mustang pull a fly-by with hazards flashing, and I dropped him fast when we hit gravel. Finally, I had some fun tormenting this guy's 240SX fastback on the highway as I was coming home. 5 races in one horrible, rainy day!

nah not him, but i probably shouldnt' say whose it is for undisclosed reasons... there's also an Ls teggie and a prelude sh, if i'm lucky i'll get an MR2 and a mustang too cuz they are still supposed to run me
