b20 question

Does anyone know the HP ratings on the b20b after the intake and exhaust manifolds are swapped out.

If the b20b can put out some better numbers than 126 I might just go with that motor instead of the b20z which puts out 146.

how much cheaper is the b? If its a lot then take the money that you save and get a p&p or cams or something. just a thought.

well I need a new clutch pretty bad, so maybe i should just get the b20b and a new clutch vs the b20z

If you go B, you'll need a clutch anyway (unless, you feel comfortable using whatever comes with your engine/tranny package...

Yah...the B really isn't as bad as people think. You gotta think...those HP and TQ numbers that everyone refers too are the numbers that are used for that motor in the CRV using the CRV high rise intake manifold, crappiest exhaust manifold i've ever seen, and less agressive ecu. If you were to switch the Intake manifold to at least a 94+ B18B intake manifold and a 94+ Integra exhaust manifold (or your nice header :)), then you'd be looking at near B16 WHP numbers some where around 125-135 to the wheels with 130-135 Tq numbers.
Don't believe me? Look on honda-tech for stock B20 dynos....the factory rating numbers are way off...this motor consistently puts more TO THE WHEELS than it's rated at the flywheel from the factory. The B20Z has been known to put down 140-150 WHP with similar Torque numbers.

With a nice header and and some extra fuel, the B20B really pulls nicely.
