If you are looking for a sporty coupe and you like to drive fast, you cant beat a muscle car. I would go with a Camaro/Firebird/Mustang. All are good fast cars and they are perfect for working on and you can get cheap aftermarket parts for them. Plus they are Pretty cheap, Especially the Camaro/Firebird because they dont make them anymore and you can pay the car off fast and start modifying the car. Keep in mind though that insurance will be higher, but the car payment should be lower than the Liberty. What year Camaro did you drive? You can get a 98 Z28 with the LS1 for about 6-7K. but since you seem to be making good money working, i would go with a later model year SS with low miles, or maybe a Firebird Firehawk, but they are more rare

if your looking for a cheap coupe that looks better then a lot of cars on the road i would go with the Hyundai Tiburon GTV6. It look great and is oretty good in the preformance perspective. Here is a pic:http://www.e-kolay.net/arabam/fuar/2002/detroit/Hyundai_Tiburon.jpg
