I have a 1991 S-10 Blazer. It is my first vehicle. I have had some work done on it..but nothing too fancy.
About a year ago the front end started making "cruching" noises when i went around corners. My dad(he works at AutoZone) and i thought it was probably the CV shafts, but after replacing them two times and the problem still coming back we are at a loss. We can't figure out what the problem is. I now the truck is getting "old" but the noises are really annoying.
Has anyone had this problem? and How do i go about making it stop?
The truck runs great and has a little rust. It is just the **** "crunching" noise that is really bugging me. And i want to get it fixed(if possible) before i go to college.
When i say crunching i mean it sounds like something is not seated and the spring(or something) is moving around. Which is now is not the case because i have had that stuff checked.
Thanks for any help!

I have a '91 4WD S10 truck with 240,000 miles on it and had the same problems. My problem was the tie rod ends were worn out. They will make a popping sound when there is a good bit of suspension travel while making a sharp turn. I also had some wear on the ball joints and the torsion bar mounts were completely seperated. I did a complete front end rebuild including ball joints, tie rods, control arm bushings, torsion bar mounts, stabilizer bar mounts, shocks, etc. because all of these components were the original ones and in pretty bad shape. The truck now drives like the day I drove it off the dealers lot when it was brand new.

Have you ever checked your front differential fluid level?
