Hi, new to this forum, wondering if anyone has had the same problem as I have. My low coolant light comes on periodically when I start up the car. After 30 Yards or so, it turns off, here's the problem. I went to add coolant today, I opened the hood after work and went to open the coolant surge tank, the cap turned, and came off leaving the plug in there. Any Ideas? this sucks because I am supposed to be driving to Florida from GA in a week. thanks in advance,

Pull out the plug and install a new surge tank cap.
I would start checking om why the low coolant light comes on..if the coolant is getting low, check the corners where the intake meets the head for signs of leakage.

for example, it is completely flat, nothing to grip onto

Got it, I used one of those rubber grip things and a small flat head screwdriver, I will look any coolant leaks periodically, but I honestly don't know when coolant was last put in so it just might be low from age
