Why is insurance so expensive for just a standard Fiero SE 4-cyl?

Insurance cost is based on age of driver, driving record, coverage limits, your home location and auto value.
So if you are under 25 and have a lousy driving record and live in a high cost insurance area, you pay big bucks.
A Fiero is an old car and has a low Blue book value, so if you have it insured with collision low deductables, you pay big bucks. Various insurance companies charge whatever the market will bear.

I'm 18 and I pay $462 for 6 months, for min. for full I would pay $1553 for 6 months. I have a 0 ticket, 0 crash.......I have a 86 Fiero GT, 6 cl(think of converting to 8 cl???), 5 speed, !7" rims, very very nice.
