Completed 1969 Corvette 427

Hi,
Finished '69 C3 427 Revell 1:25 kit. body paint is Mr.Color Mazora(#04 Trapezium). interior color is light tan.
Changed wheels which was gift(prize) from Tonioseven. lowerd and used SAS brake discs. changed taillamps as 'Bubble lens'.
used Mr.Color Super Metallic(#07 Plate Silver) for plated parts like iron bumpers, side mirror, rocker molding.
Window trim is metal foil. made door knobs from plastic sheet and put metal foil on it.

Painted 'Stingray' logo by writing brush. it's silver paint. :wink:

Kunta with another masterpeice! Great model, with beautiful but minimal modifications to make it a subtle but perfect looking car. You are one of the greats.

the color's an aquired taste, but it works well on the Stingray--you're very good at putting together an artistic package for a model

Great build, Kunta. Flawless, as usual. Love the Mazoora paint. Always wondered how good they were. At 2000yen for 18ml I wasn't willing to give it a try. Now I just might seeing how beautiful the colors are.

Great colors, and nice wheels.

This is one of the best color changing paintjobs I've seen.
The pigments seem much smaller and more realistic in 1/24 than others I've seen.

That is impressive! Super clean engine bay, and the wheels really set off the nice finish. Love those bubble tail lights too! :smile:

I want that kit!!! Yours looks so awesome! I want to build a replica for a friend. His a a 1969 427, Jetted carbs, hearders, ZL1 60 degree cam, blueprintet, ported+polished, titaniumn valve springs, carbon brakes, upgraded suspension peices, roll cage, chassis strengthened, etc. And that was all done in the early 70's! Is the kit very detailed?

Stunning, lovely build - I couldn't get over the fact it's a 1:25, looks much bigger for the detail!
