2000 F-150 Door Locks

I've got a 2000 F-150 supercab with electric door locks and keyless entry and the locks are killing me. They won't unlock when I hit the buttons inside the cab or on the key fob and the driver's side will lock only sometimes when I hit the key fob. The thing that is really getting to me is that they will lock just fine when I put the truck into gear. I don't understand this at all. I'm pretty sure it's not the actuators and they locks aren't binding up. What else could it be?

I had the same problems, had to have the actuators replaced. Just like you described, door locks wouldn't work except when I put the truck in gear. Had both replaced under warranty.

Hmm... Sounds wierd that the actuators would only work when putting the truck in gear and never any other time. I don't have a warranty so I guess I'll have to buy them. Thanks.
