Amigo your cam sensor on a 3.1L Century is located underneath the power steering pump. You shuld be able to see the wiring harnass connector bolted on a bracket by your intake.

Thanks much.
Any idea on what the cost would be to replace this (at the dealer). I see that I can purchase it for about 30-40 bucks.
And this looks like a quick 15 minute job?

The labor on that is 1.6 hours at whatever the labor rate is. Its not so easy the power steering pump needs to be removed. The bolt that holds down the sensor is easy to give at with the pump still in but the sensor is about 3 inches long and impossible to remove with the pump in place.

what kind of damage could be done, if I wait a month.
the CEL seems to be on somedays, and other days it isn't.

You may notice a change in idle quality or fuel mileage otherwise you won't see a differnce. The PCM has a back up for when the cam sensor goes bad.
