The o2 light on the indicator panel is constantly on. This is a 1993 Rodeo 3.2L. I replaced the oxygen sensor and reset the ECM but I can't get the light to go off. I've looked in both the Haynes and Chilton repair manuals but neither references the light. Any ideas? Thanks

I'm pretty sure that there is a screw on the back of your instrument cluster that you have to swap from one position to another to reset that light, then after 90k m. when the light comes back on you swap it back and so on and so on and so on.

May not be the oxygen sensor itself...the CEL barfs on a problem with the CIRCUIT in it's entirety, not neccisarily the sensor.
Check the wiring that goes to the sensor. Perhaps it was melted or damaged due to exhaust manifold heat or the like.
Not for sure, but worth a look.
O2 sensors aren't the cheapest, and I have seen melted/damaged wires before. On some of these vehicles, there are 'heated' o2 sensors, which the power sometimes feeds off the fuel pump circuit.
Wiring is worth a look before going any further.

Thanks, you were right, it is a reminder light that comes on every 90K. Quite the project to reset the light.
