The little red light

I have a 1990 GS with 154,060 miles. I have adjustable suspension and on the little display/control panel a little red light comes on. I read the manual and all it really says is to turn the car off then turn it back on. What does this light mean?? Does something need to be adjusted or replaced?? I have only owned the car for less than a week so I have no clue.
