Hey i have a question about the stock cd player option in the integras. if i'm not mistaken, it was a 6 disc changer right? ok well my car doesn't have it, and i want it, but they're hella expensive from acura and to put just a head unit in the teg would cause problems with the alarm thats sorta built into the stock receiver :banghead:... anyone have any suggestions?

i dont think integras had the 6 disc changer option. i know the 3.2TL, TL, RL, and all those had the option. I could be wrong though

you could get another stereo and alarm. Most factory alarms suck anyways.

i would go ahead and get a new head unit and/or an alarm.

the guy said if i wanted to keep the stock alarm and put a head unit in they'd have to like move the stock receiver to the trunk or something and it would be an extra $150 or so... i don't like that idea...i just wanted to keep the factory alarm cuz...well.. it's already there..and be able to play cds

http://www.peripheral-aamp.com/periph_products/new_products.htm ok does this mean if you have the 8 or 12 pin connecter on your receiver that you'll be able to use clarion cd changers through your stock receiver?

well you could get an aftermarket alarm installed for that 150.00, especially if you but the stereo at the same time, mabe you can get a discount on installation. There are plenty of shops around who will compete for your business. Another option is going through Crutchfield and install everything yourself. they have decent prices and usally give you instructions and all the extra connectors you might need.
