Reverse lights/power steering/ heater fan problem

I have a 2003 crown vic pi. I have been having problems with my heaterfan shutting off on it's own, at the same time the secondary power steering assist shuts down, and at the same time, my reverse lights are not working. I had a look through the owners manual on the fuse locations to find that these three things are running through the same fuse. I checked the fuse and it was fine. I then went in the trunk and checked the reverse lights(car on, reverse with the parking break on) and checked for burntout lights. The lights were fine, and so I started to jiggle the wires and bang on the trunk lid. Voila the lights are on. I am pleased that my heater fan is on as well.
The fix worked fow a day and then things got worse. Sometimes the heater will come back to life on it's own,...but the moment I place the car in reverse...poof...the heater fan stopps working again. Pain in da but....
Anyone had this problem before. I'm gonna take a lookt that the wiring on the reverse lights. I have a sence that the problem might be there. I had to laugh at myself though... why would run powersteering/reverse lights/ heater fan on the same circuit. If one of my reverse lights burns out does it screw up the powersteering and heater fan too?... Heck... I'm just rambeling now.
All for now.

I had a closer looka at my problem. I got a hold of a wiring diagram and did some testing with a test light and volt meter And found the following...
Under the steering column there is a break-away ignition switch that routs/rerouts power from the ignition switch. I was not getting any power from the light green wires, or the grey with yellow stripe wires. Wired into this mess is what looks like an aftermarket circuit board with two relays, and a couple of computer chips. The whole circuit board is encased in epoxy. There is a red wire from the board that hooks into the grey with yello stripe wire. The circuit board also runs a ground wire. I found that if I jiggled the wires the power would torun off and on to the green, and the grey with yellow striped wires. I checked the connections and they looked ok.
I turned the ignition to the run position and started the car. Cool everything works. Put the car in reverse and things shut down again. So I disconnected the rear wire harness on the trunk lid for the reverse and the license plat light. I tried the process over and everythiong was up and running again. Put the car in reverse and it still works.. Beauty.
The next day. the whole thing crapps out again. !!!! What the hell!?!
Once again I have no powersteering, or heater fan. Since the reverse lights are unplugged now, I obviously don't have them working.
I just wanna have my car in running order. I have no idea what might be wrong. I guess I could un-wire the aftermarket chip...but there is not a lot of space to work, and it looks like it will take a lot of cutting and re-wiring.

Took a look again at my nagging problem. Took out the aftermarket circuit board. Turns out that it's an anti-theft device. Dam car still doesn't work properly. I have 2 options right not...actually tomorrow. I am gonna run an inline fuse from my white/yellow wire to the green wire with a 30 amp fuse. I am also gonna take a look underneath the underhood fuse box to see if there is a bad connection there. Fuses still check out ok. I am now looking for a 2003 crown vic wiring diagram for the power distribution. I'm gonna post a new thread to get the word out.
Keeping my fingers crossed. I don't wanna have to take the car to the dealers.
