I have a 1995 Passport with 122k. v6. the engine seems to loose a cylinder after in warms up. It shakes like made at around 2000rpm's at highway speed. The engine was just tuned-up,New fuel injectors. The check-engine light comes on after it runs like this for about 5 min, then it will reset after the car is shut off.It has spark from all coils, plug is clean and I have no oil or antifreeze in the chamber, but the #2 cylinder is dead! I switched out coils and checked for spark. I ran the engine with the plug out, it was loud, but still ran the same. what do you think? Intake manifold or new engine?

Please indicate for the folks here on how you determined the cylinder to be dead.

Did you throw the compression tester on it? Is it full of oil/anti-freeze? What does the spark plug look like?

More info will get you great responses...maybe not from me, but certainly from someone.

BTW, did you check what code was thrown?

Pin it out (if you can on that year, if it's not ODB?), I'll bet you'll get an advanced timing warning (ICM). I'd never know though, 'cuz with my 5spd, it's ALWAYS above 2K, no matter where I'm driving. (I'm a 3000-4000 RPM guy).

Just my guess.

Steve
