price of a 91 mr2

I found a 91 mr2 for sale in my area. It $3,300 and it looks like its in good shape but it has 200,000 miles on it. how long is this thing going to last on that engine and tranny? I was thiking of offering $2500

thats about where you'll need a new motor/tranny there buddy.

It all depends on how it was maintained. There is no way we can answer that with accuracy.

I bought Hyde with 180,000 miles. I have more than doubled his horsepower and I have raced him for the last 3 years ... currently humming along at 200,222 miles.

well thats exactly the point, I dont know how well its been mantained. The body and interior looks good but that doesnt necessarily mean the engine and tranny are in good shape. my question is, do i want to get a car with such high mileage

Does he have service records?
I bought a old 88 Toyota Corolla GTS many years back to jaul around my mountain bike...It had 202k miles and ran like new..& everything worked like new including pw. sunroof & A/C...

I would test drive her and then see what seems fair to offer if you still want it at all...
