Finally got my car on the dyno today...it was a mustang dyno (takes more hp away :disappoin) so add 11% to my final #'s and thats what a dynojet dyno would produce for #'s:
Max HP: 177.1 @ 6000 rpm.
Max TQ: 176.1 @ 5000 rpm.
I probably could have squeezed out another 4 hp if i decided to dyno to 6500 or 7000 rpm...but i figured 6000 grand was pretty close to platue...
Take note that that is aprox.
Max HP 196.6 @ 6000 rpm.
Max TQ 195.5 @ 5000 rpm.
on a Dyno Jet dyno...
And this is only with an exhaust system and greddy intercooler...not bad for a black top SR :iceslolan

yeah 190 ballpark is still quick.. but somethin is wrong.. didn't you get 3 runs?? even if you account the rpm limit you set and the fact that it was a mustang dyno, its still off.. go ask them if you can do it again cause its not doing what its supposed to

well #1 yea it was a mustange dyno...they said a 11% and thats what a dynojet dyno would probably do..hense the 196 and 195. my right rear brake also seems to be sticking...thus probably a loss of 1-3% and its a s13 black top...not s14 blacktop... you figure the stock motor to the crank puts 202 and 200lbs...so you figure thats actually not bad with only exhaust and intercooler...so its a realistic 200hp and 200lbs torque at 7psi..

BTW...like D-Bo said with my 6 grand shut down...my hp curve was still going up...very very slightly though...i might have gotten another 4 hp and 1-2 lbs tq...with my head needing to be rebuilt (i guess thats another factor there) i didnt want to push the motor too hard.

217hp is the S14 SR, he has an S13 blacktop, about 200hp, second, that's at the wheels, much lower then crank horsepower, which is what manufacturers say, third, when i said wait for it i mean wait for a newb to say "he says black top, but it's a red top in the picture"

another thing to take into account...mustang dyno's go by car make and weight...so it says my car is 3000 lbs...my car is nowhere near that...my base 240 is like 2683lbs....maybe add another 50lbs for turbo ect...so that will also increase hp on a mustang dyno...

it says that becuase thats what a stock 240 has...its just what the computer has in its data base for a 240...along with the 3000lbs

i did the driveline loss conversion and at the crank im aprox. at 226.1hp and 224.8tq...just to show that exhaust and intercooler at about 24hp and 25tq....just for future refrence (exhaust without cat :))

Black Tops do produce more power than they are rated at. But at 7psi on a Mustang those are still respectable #s. Thats what Im hoping for at 10 on the SMIC (190-200 Dynojet) then I'll either get a GTR or EVO FMIC.

i could have got about 8hp and 3tq with the mustang dyno... but thats ok...will show up with more hp when i dyno it later...yea the smic and fmic wont make that big of a diffrence at all on a dyno

yeah that seems about right for just bolt ons. now raise that boost with a SAFC and you should be in the 240whp range.

nope, the SAFC is just to trim the a/f ratio to make it alittle leaner ( for stock SR ecu's )

Cool. Dynos are never really perfectly accurate anyways. Its just something to go by. Good luck man.
