i just got a 2000 GTS 6speed and i have a few questions
i find it hard to start the engine, i have to put all my weight on the clutch... is this common?
anyone know where i can find a "How To" for s2000 antanna converson?
what is the 1/4 mile time for a stock?
top speed for a 00 gts?
is there a proformance ecu for ma car?

Has someone put a performance clutch in the car? If so, yah, that clutch will sometimes really fight back on ya.

The stock celica clutch is very very easy to work.. so that is not common with a stock celica. If it's an aftermarket performance clutch, then yes, that could be normal.
Yes, unscrew your stock antenna. Screw on S2000 antenna. :)
In stock form, depending on driver.. it will run high 14's to low 15's. Myself and a few other on newcelica.org have run 14.7 stock, full interior.
Top speed is around 140-145 stock. It isn't electronically limited.. it simply doesn't have enough power to go any faster with the stock gearing.
Yes, there is a performance ecu available. Apex'i offers the Power FC. It is fully programmable. It lets you move the lift engagement and rev limiter. You can also adjust all the vvt-i settings.. pretty much anything you want.

Might be time for a new clutch.. or your synchros might be going out.

the car only has 41,000 miles on it and was owned by an adult.. so i have no idea what's going on.. and it seems to not want to start in the cool, nothing happens when i turn the key. i have to try several times with pushing clutch as hard as i can to get it started..

well hopefully you know it's not how hard you push the clutch that starts the car lol...hows the battery? it might be time for a new one if that one doesn't have the CCA's (cold cranking amps) to start the car in the cold. If not that, then maybe the neutral safety switch is bad (the switch that triggers so you can start the car when you push the clutch in). Is the clutch hydraulic or mechanical in these cars?

dragtimes.com is a waste... It would be worthwhile if you could also upload the actual time slip. Anybody can submit any time for any car they want.
