Eyebrows for Tbirds..Coloring Side Lights..

Hey guys, just finished completely re-doing my headlights, i get so much light now it's crazy, especially after buffing them with mothers mag/alum wheel polish. BTW, use 1500 grit sandpaper-then buff the hell out of them. After the sanding..then buffing with mothers, polish them up with a good plexi glass shining solution (mine was blue magic).

Anyway, now to the questions. My lights look awesome EXCEPT for the visible yellowed glue at the top, should i make eyebrows for my headlights to cover them..? How do you think that would look..good..? cheesy..? I have left over material to do a good job also. This could be made out of either 1/32 thick black abs heat resistent plastic, OR 1/32 silver aluminum-both are easy enough to cut with a big scissor.

Side lights/blinker light in the front, how hard is it to get them NON-yellow. I want to paint them silver, cause stock yellow is fugly. In the inside of the lens, is it painted yellow..? or is it a plastic yellow liner..?

I tested this method just yesterday on a TBird headlight assembly that I had left over after and accident, and it worked great And yes, that assembly was sanded and polished as well, as I was using this piece as a test piece before doing it on the real thing.

If you want to get rid of that glue, put the assembly into an oven preheated at 250 degrees for 10 minutes. Put the assembly on a non-preheated cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil. Remove it from the oven, and pull the 2 pieces apart. Glue will come right off of the plastic. Then you can reglue it with clear hot glue from a glue gun.

Bake for 10 minutes at 250 degrees in preheated oven on a non-preheated cookie sheet.
Season to taste

Log onto ebay and search for "clear turn signal lenses thunderbird" it should come up with a few results you can usally buy a pair for about $32 And as for the bulb you can get diff. colored bulbs at your local parts house (Or you can in TN)
