NYC is a good ways from Buffalo, NY (near Niagra). Mapquest is showing about a 400 mile trip in which you'd go through northern NJ, northern PA and then back into NY. Most likely, it would be awful on a bus trip. I went to Niagra Falls as a kid and it was pretty amazing to see though.
As for renting a car, you have to be 25 years old in most states. And yes you can rent a V-8 mustang GT.

See, I've been trying to do just the opposite! I've been trying to catch up with you whenever I'm in the UK, but I'm usually only there overnight...

You got me :bigthumb:
Oh, and I had a thought while I was driving home for lunch... I happened to drive by a Mustang GT & remembered how Jim wanted to drive a V8. You'll like the power, and they are fun to drive (especially sideways :evillol:), but you'll appreciate your Civic MUCH more once you fill that Mustang up a couple times - a day!

In NY you have to be 18 to rent a car, but they'll charge you like an extra $40-50 a day just for being young.

In NY you have to be 18 to rent a car, but they'll charge you like an extra $40-50 a day just for being young. That's strange, I haven't found any place that will let you rent it unless you're 25. I remember one of my friends telling me that he couldn't rent one, but his older gf could because she was 25 or 26. Maybe it depends on what part of the state you're in or what place you rent it from.
I'm like 3 hours away from Niagra Falls (2 if I was speeding) and I'm right in the center of the state (Syracuse). So 8 hours seems about right, maybe even a little more. I hope for your sake that you're either going to the Canadian part or you're going directly to the falls, because I've been told the NY falls area is kind of a sh*t hole. It's been probably 10 years since I've been there so who knows, I'm just going by what others have told me.
